Mission City Community Fund Announces 2024 Scholarship Award Winners
Santa Clara, CA – June 26, 2024 – The Mission City Community Fund (MCCF) is proud to
announce the recipients of the 2024 scholarship awards. Each year, MCCF awards scholarships
to outstanding students from Santa Clara High Schools who have demonstrated exceptional
academic and life achievements. This year, five students have been selected to receive the
prestigious MCCF scholarship, each receiving a $1,000 award to support their future
educational endeavors.
The MCCF scholarships are awarded to students who excel in one of five areas of scholarly
excellence: Social Services, Health Care, Education, Environment, Theater, and Arts. This year’s
award winners exemplify dedication, hard work, and a commitment to making a positive impact
in their communities.
The 2024 MCCF scholarship recipients are:
• Andrew Kay – Wilcox High School
• Noah Coble – New Valley High School
• Maleya Dano – Mission Early College High School
• Khadeejah Khan – Santa Clara High School
• Mikayla Zurita – Wilson High School
“We are incredibly proud of each of our award winners and their impressive accomplishments,”
said Brien Mahoney, MCCF Board Chair. “These scholarships are a testament to their hard work
and dedication, and we are honored to support them as they continue their educational
journeys.”
By providing these scholarships, MCCF aims to foster the next generation of leaders who will
make significant contributions to society.
“Our diverse MCCF scholars have taught Robotics overseas, fought for social justice in our
community, overcome COVID setbacks by excelling in their later high school years. In total,
these future leaders contributed to our community and made it a better place to study, work,
live and play.” said Ana Vargas-Smith, MCCF Scholarship Co-Chair.
The Mission City Community Fund congratulates Andrew, Noah, Maleya, Khadeejah, and
Mikayla on their well-deserved awards and wishes them all the best in their future endeavors.
