Mission City Community Fund announces 2018 Nonprofit of the Year, JW House
Santa Clara, Calif. – 10/1/2018 – MCCF will spotlight JW House as its Nonprofit of the Year partner at the annual Charity Auction Dinner Dance on November 3rd. The Nonprofit of the Year represents outstanding accomplishments by a nonprofit organization using their programs and services to enrich the lives of local residents in Silicon Valley. JW House was selected based on the following:
- Reputation for leadership excellence within the nonprofit and local communities
- Successful achievement within our Five Areas of Giving
- Consistent performance and high ethical standards for management and public disclosure
Mission City Community Fund’s annual charity auction dinner dance East Meets West will be held at the Santa Clara Convention Center on November 3, 2018, starting at 5:30 p.m. This memorable evening of music, live and silent auctions, awards and incredible dinner is a fundraiser to establish grants for local nonprofits.
“It is a great honor to recognize JW House as the 2018 Nonprofit of the Year and I commend the organization for its tireless dedication to the health care community” said Robin Burdick, MCCF’s Dinner Chair. “There’s something about ringing the bell and having someone with a smile open the door and invite you into their welcoming, quiet, safe place. After watching and worrying over the person you love being ill, JW House provides a place where you can sit quietly and take a few deep breaths, talk to others who are sharing experiences similar to yours, have a home-cooked meal, and collect yourself to stay hopeful.”
